Valuing caring work
Wed 10 Oct 2012 1-3pm
in the US is calling for welfare to recognise mothers’ caring
work. Why not here? The unions are marching on 20 Oct “for a
future that works”. With the cuts mothers and other carers
are working even harder. Will they recognise mothers as workers?

Volunteers welcome –
there’s lots to do!
is a network of mothers & other carers of different races &
backgrounds – single, widowed, divorced, with disabilities,
teenagers, grannies, refugee, immigrant, queer, foster mothers.
Some of us have disabled children, some are separated from our
children, some have been in detention or prison . . . We share
experiences, support each other, and campaign for our rights.
